MG ZS EV, fast and super efficient

Last year with Hector MG debut in India, but this time MG launched its new electric crossover . We already see this ZS in abroad but in India MG launched this electric configuration only. This ZS EV gets two variants, excite and exclusive . ZS EV is powered by 44.5kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery with 141 bhp of power and 350 NM of torque, because this is electric motor red lines, cylinders, fuel economy, turbo, petrol or diesel does not plays here. MG claimed that this motor pulls it 0 to 100 KMPH in just 8.5 seconds!! and that is right also because we also have drive modes (Eco, Normal and Sports). In Eco mode, motor does not feel vocal and basically this mode is for increase the driving range, normal is for city driving to gets the punch anytime anywhere. But sports mode brings the animal out from the ZS, this motor gives us 350KM range in a single charge. To gets a good range ZS also equipped regenerative braking, which kinetic energy reverse system stores the extra generated power for later when you'll need it. Length of this ZS is 4314 mm , width is 1809 mm and height is 1620 mm. Wheelbase is smaller than creta but the space inside in this ZS doesn’t compromise. At front we get diamond studded grill with big MG logo which comes out for charging the vehicle. Sometimes that grill will remind you some Mercedes Benz cars surely, headlights gets projector and led drl’s also. There’s no fog lamps and parking sensors which is missing thing in this ZS. The side wheel body cladding finished in black with that 17 inch alloys, silver roof rails and chrome door handles takes your attention. The rear part of the vehicle will remind you some VW cars because of that big MG logo which tilt to open the tailgate, this ZS gets massively 448 litres of boot space which we can increase by folding the second row in 60:40 format, after doing this you can also fit your house in it. The taillights gets all led and also haves high mounted stop lamps. To reduce the overall visual bulk, rear bumper finished in black with also parking sensors and camera on it. Design of the vehicle grows with you, otherwise this is more suv than crossover. Inside the ZS we gets all black interior with silver inserts on dashboard. The dashboard feels soft to touch but most of the cabin gets hard plastic, the centre console is occupied with AC vents and a 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system, this screen gets radio, media, vehicle settings, driving data, battery information and also Gana app for 3 years free. This centre console will definitely remind you some sedans, below this screen we have audio controls with air conditioning switches also. To charge your phones MG gives USB’s and 12V charging port below the centre console which you have to reach down and feels afterthought, to shifting from driving modes there is a dial or knob and also gets electric parking brake with auto hold function. There are also twin cup holders and centre armrest with some space inside it. The steering wheel is adjustable only for height not for reach, to control that small 4 inch TFT instrument cluster we get switches on steering wheel with audio and cruise controls. The rear seats gets adequate amount of headroom and knee room, but we didn’t get middle rear headrest and centre armrest also. So two people don’t seat comfortable and three people also cannot properly. Rear seats gets AC vents and also a usb , sunshades would be nice touch but this MG is coming with tons of features and tech like, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, panoramic sunroof, PM 2.5 air filter, 6 ways electrically adjustable driver seat, push button start stop with keyless entry, cruise control, leather seats, heated ORVM, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVM, follow me home headlights and more. Now this ZS gets I smart which is connected service by MG, in this service we have voice command, battery information, navigation, weather information, geo fencing with also charging station locater. To ensure your safety this ZS EV comes with 6 airbags, ABS and EBD, brake assist, hill hold control, electronic stability program, traction control, hill descent control, isofix child seat anchor point, seat belt warning, 4 wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brake, rear parking camera with sensors, tire pressure monitoring system and pedestrian alert system. Because of all this safety features ZS EV scores 5 star in EURO Ncap, which is a great thing. To charge this crossover MG gives us AC fast charger which company fits in your house at no extra cost , with this charger your ZS charges 0 to 100% in 6 to 8 hours. To charge your vehicle at long trips there are also DC super fast charger at MG’s dealership which charged your vehicle 80% in only 50 minutes, but in any difficult situation MG gives us portable chargers with all cars which can support any regular 15A socket.
