So on that bombshell we have a special kid for you and that’s the Mercedes Benz E-Class Facelift. In Mercedes garage there are lots of cars and models but some lineups are very noteworthy for them.
In this lineups this E-Class are also sits between them, so wasting no time Mercedes Benz takes its LWB (long wheel base)version in India at the first quarter of 2021. So this 2021 Mercedes Benz E-Class available in 3 variants, in this 3 variants options first two variants are available in both petrol and diesel options, therefore more two variants are added and now we get 5 variants in this E-Class. That are E-200 Expression, E-200d Expression, E-200 Exclusive, E-200d Exclusive and E-350d AMG. We are reviewing the top end trim which means the E-350d AMG.
This E-Class is 5075mm longer, 1860mm wider and 1495mm taller. It’s wheelbase is 3079mm which is biggest in the segment. The ground clearance of the vehicle is very low but in AMG line you can increased it by air suspension. This E-350d trim is powered by a 2925cc 6 cylinder motor which produces a 282 bhp of power which gets redlines at between 3400Rpm to 4600Rpm and 600Nm of torque which gets redlines at between 1200Rpm to 3400Rpm.
The result is it goes 0 to 100 KMPH in just 6.4 seconds which is briskly quick. This straight 6 motor is very silent and refined, in city you cannot hear the motor barely that’s the insulation level of this E-Class. On city traffic it goes silently and takes all the rumbles and potholes in it, thanks to the air suspension which works flawlessly well and also we can increase the ride height if any big bump came ahead. If you have quick power or make any brisk overtake this straight 6 motor vanishes you in few seconds and you get a big smile on your face for sure, thanks to 4 driving modes (Eco, Sport, Comfort, Individual). The ride quality is very well and best in its segment,
out on the highways this E-Class just glides through roads and you can’t hear anything that’s the acoustics level of this Mercedes Benz E-Class. After looking to its performance, let’s move towards its design. At front we get typical diamond studded grill with big Mercedes logo on the grill.
Above this big Mercedes Benz logo we get a front parking camera and a another logo on hood to represent its traditional way. The headlight unit is now changed, we get Mercedes Benz Multi Beam led’s which can project the light till 600 metres.
We get a chrome line running on the bumper which takes attention on dark colours. Coming to the side, we get chrome garnishing around windows with chrome strip which is running throughout the length of the vehicle.
The E-Class runs on 18 inch AMG wheels with all wheel disc brakes as well. The tailgate of the vehicle is well finished and feels very premium, now the taillights are revised and gets all led’s. The rear bumper gets reflectors with some fake exhaust tips which is finished in chrome, the rear part of the body is very identical to S-Class.
In the boot we get 540 litres of space inside it which is not increasable. The design of the vehicle is very well finished with lots of practical beats on this vehicle, going through on road this E-Class attracts everyone in its sight because that’s the level of exterior it gets.
Inside this E-Class we get lots of options in interior layout, but this AMG line comes with triple colours interior. That three colours are beige, brown and tropze blue. The dashboard unit is very neat well finished and gets tropze blue leather, the centre console is very loaded of this E-Class.
First of all it gets two 12.3 inch screens which Mercedes called it MBUX, this MBUX system works flawlessly well with best resolution in the segment. First screen is used for infotainment which gets wireless android auto and apple car play, radio, media, navigation, voice command, info, vehicle settings and many more.
This screen is used by touch controls and also with the controller which is placed in the centre console. The second screen is for instrument cluster which has best resolution in its segment, this screen gets lots of controls and features like, TPMS, navigation, media and lots of styles and themes.
We already seen this MBUX system in tons of Mercedes Benz cars, but till its flows butter smooth as well. Under this screen we get four AC vents with air conditioning controls, in centre console we get lots of USB’s, tons of cubby holes and wireless charging pads as well.
The steering wheel is now revised now it gets touch sensible controls, older one gets nulled finished dials for operate lots of things in its infotainment system. Front seats are very comfortable and feels very nice to seat, like that second row is the real USP of this E-Class.
In the second row we get a large hump in the centre which involve air conditioning controls, AC vents and some amount of storage space. Mercedes Benz gives us three height adjustable headrest but because of the massive hump in the centre third passenger bit suffers difficulties.
So those two seats can be adjustable electrically with memory function and also can be reclined electrically by 37 degrees which is impressively. At second row we get sun blinds at windows, rear windshield and rear quarter glass as well. Those all sun blinds are electrically adjustable which is very good and feels very premium as well, so the rear centre armrest gets a separate touchscreen tablet which controls the infotainment system of the vehicle and also the co-driver seat for better knee room and leg room.
This centre armrest also gets wireless charging pad with some amount of storage space inside it. So the E-Class’s cabine is very roomy and comfortable, thanks to that extra wheel base and dual sunroof. This 2021 E-Class is loaded with lots of features and tech inside it like 64 colours ambient lighting, Burmester surround sound system, three zone automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, touchpad,
velour floor mats, wireless charging pad, automatic headlamps and automatic wipers, electrically adjustable rear sun blinds, electric dual sunroof,
soft door close function, illuminated door sill panels, electrically adjustable front seats and lots of more. In safety it doesn’t get behind it comes with 7 airbags which includes knee bag, ABS and EBD, brake assist, ESP, traction control, hill hold control, TPMS,
isofix child seat anchors, active brake assist, active park assistance, 360 degree parking camera with front and rearparking sensors, Mercedes Benz pre safe system, active hood technology and lots of more. So this E-Class offered in 6 colour theme options.
