Honda Amaze Facelift, Now The Job Done !

In this crazy SUV buzz to create a good competitor between them, Honda launched its 2021 Amaze with mild updates or facelift. Because of the features and performance which it rival offers sometimes old Honda Amaze left the chat, but we hope that this new Amaze complete all this with its facelift.
In this update we have to seen some cosmetic changes with few new features, power output don’t change. Like we seen in lots of Honda cars 2021 Amaze offers in E,S and VX versions, the older V trim is discontinued and offers in only three variants with 2 engine options. 1) 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 90bhp of power and 110NM of torque, and offers in 5 speed manual and CVT gearbox options.
2) 1.5 litre turbo Diesel engine produces 99bhp of power and 200NM of torque, and offers in 5 speed manual and CVT gearbox options.
So we are reviewing the VX version with 1.5 litre turbo diesel motor produces 99bhp of power with redlines at 3600RPM and 200NM of torque with redlines at 1750RPM and mated with 5 speed manual gearbox, this Honda’s Earth Dreams technology diesel engine is also powered in Honda City and have options of 5 speed manual and CVT gearbox.
This diesel manual gives us 24.7 KMPL claimed average fuel economy, this is a four cylinder unit but we have to see lots of vibrations and also vocal in the top end of the raves range. The length of the vehicle is 3995mm, 1695mm wider and 1501mm taller.
Wheelbase is 2470mm and runs on 15 inch alloys, ground clearance is 175 mm which is adequate in city driving but in some bad potholes or big fat bumps it suffer bit difficulties. Starting from front we get multi slated chrome grill with lots of cuts and creases,
old Amaze gets ordinary halogen headlights but this facelift corrects it and now it comes with LED projector headlamps and fog lamps also. Now the door handles finished in chrome and also gets request sensor,
vehicle runs on 15 inch 10 spoke diamond cut alloy wheels while lower trims get 14 inch. The orvm is body painted with electrically adjustable and retractable, the rear part of 2021 Amaze is very spicy,
got big C shape led taillights with halogen brake and reverse lamp. The bumper is now revised with chrome treatment there to. Overall exterior is very tastefully done with lots of chrome on it,
specially I like the front and rear part of the vehicle. The boot space is 428 litre which is very good in its segment, the interior is finished in beige colour with some silver treatment on dashboard and door pads.
The dashboard is similar to the older generation, we get high mounted AC vents with 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with android auto and apple car play,
this system gets navigation, car settings, radio, media and also reverse parking camera. Around this screen we have to see piano black finish which is a big fingerprint magnet, centre console gets air conditioning control with 12V charging port and 2 USB’s as well.
There’s lots of storage space in centre console with cup holders as well, the instrument cluster gets regular two dials with small multi information display. The steering wheel gets mounted controls on it and height adjustable function,
the second row is comfortable and get centre armrest with cup holders in it. Knee room is adequate but headroom is bit difficult to any taller person, we don’t get rear AC vents and height adjustable headrest.
All the cabin gets hard and scratchy hard plastic but overall interior is nicely fitted and nice to touch. The new Amaze is now loaded with lots of features like automatic headlamps, engine start stop button, automatic climate control, cruise control, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVM, smart keyless entry,
led headlamps with led fog lamps, shark fin antenna, manually height adjustable driver seat and lots of other features.
The new amaze is not behind in safety it comes with 2 airbags, ABS and EBD, hill hold control, isofix child seat anchor point, over speed warning, seat belt warning, speed sensing auto door lock,
one touch up and down driver window with anti pinch function, automatic headlamps and many more. The 2021 Honda Amaze offers in 5 colours with lots of other accessories like boot garnish,
tail lamps garnish, window chrome moulding, floor mats, cushions, keychain, wireless charging, front centre armrest, trunk spoiler and lots
of other accessories which are available in Honda’s website.

Price of 2021 Honda Amaze start from 6.32 Lakhs to 11.15 Lakhs (Ex-showroom), in this entry level compact sedan segment it rival to Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, Hyundai I20 , Tata Altroz, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Tigor, Hyundai Venue. After looking it’s rival Honda Amaze missed some features like auto dimming irvm, automatic wipers, connected car features, rear AC vents, front centre armrest.
But overall this is well packed spacious sedan with biggest boot in its segment and lots of other features and advanced tech.

Last year Kia motors debut in India with there compact suv seltos , after this big victory Kia recently launched its sub4 meter compact suv SONET . This segment is very crowded with lots of difference in features and also in price range . Recently Kia makes an update on it with some added features like paddle shifters , new Kia logo , rear sunshades , voice command and many more .
